New study on organic foods unearths the facts

We awaited with baited breath for the ground breaking study published in the British Journal of Nutrition this month. It revealed that organic fruit, vegetables and cereals contain significantly higher concentrations of antioxidants and lower levels of pesticides.

This research concludes that there are meaningful nutritional differences between organic and non-organic food and that switching to eating organic fruit, vegetables, and processed foods (such as bread, baby food, fruit juice and wine) is equivalent to eating one or two additional portions of fruit or vegetables per day, in antioxidant terms.
